Road to Indonesia--Beijing apartment 2

Written on Mar 9, 2021

Just spoke with the young lady who has helped us with all of this transferring and packing. She sent out 3 boxes this morning. They might be here in a week or so!!!  It cost just under $200 which is pretty good considering everything. That is the good news. The bad news is that no powders, medicines, or batteries can be mailed DHL.  That means the medicine that we need and the herbs and spices that I so so want cannot be sent that way.  I am very sad.  But she will try to contact another way to ship and see if she can work it out.  I pray so.  The laptops (battery so they cannot come) are not really what are needed, but rather the files on them.  She will download the files and email them to us. She sat down just now to boot up the lap tops and of course they were US plug ins, so even though the laptop cords carry their own current adjustment, she has no way of plugging them in.  (Either the plug adjuster was left in the apartment or we had carried them to the US with us???) But she will be able to use the huge heavy transformer we gave her for the instant pot to plug in the laptops.  Of course she had left the transformer at her father's house so she will have to take the laptops over there to talk through our files with us.  Never easy, is it?  But we are excited to think that our important papers and clothes will arrive here soon. Pray that God slips our birth certificates and diplomas into the important papers enroute, as I am not sure that those truly are things that are in our papers, and we need them for our visas. Haha. Keep praying that everything comes through. Thank you.
